KEEFER’S PRESENTS “FISH FRY-DAYS”
DURING LENT
Featuring Meatless Menus for Lunch and Dinner
Chef John Hogan proudly presents “Fish Fry-days” throughout
Lent at Keefer’s, located at 20 W. Kinzie. “Fish Fry-days”
provides Chicagoans with Lent-friendly, prix fixe menu for lunch
and dinner every Friday during Lent, which lasts from Ash Wednesday,
March 5, 2003 to Easter Sunday, April 20, 2003.
The “Fish Fridays” prix fixe lunch menu will start
with a bowl of hot, creamy clam chowder, followed by Chef Hogan’s
renowned fish and chips. For this dish, Hogan enriches cod fillets
with Guinness Stout beer batter and panko bread crumbs and adds
a hearty portion of fried potatoes, cole slaw and the requisite
tartar sauce. The “Fish Fry-days” lunch is priced at
$21.95.
The “Fish Fry-days” prix fixe dinner menu will feature
a choice of soup or salad, the Hogan’s fish and chips, along
with a choice of dessert, such as chocolate pudding and almond crème
fraiche cheesecake. The “Fish Fry-days” dinner is priced
at $26.95.
Although heralded for its steak and chops, Keefer’s offers
mouthwatering seafood and fresh fish flown in directly from Maine.
At least five fresh fish entrees are available daily, including
specials like Grilled Dorade and Sautéed Fluke.
